My sister has dark hair and her husband blonde, we would have expected her kids to have dark hair as blonde is recessive, but all three are blondies and her eyes are blue, but her hubbies are green (dominant) but all her kiddies are blue eyed.
There is no way to tell until the little one is born

My husband has black hair and hazel eyes. I have brown hair and brown eyes. Our little boy came out with long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Blonde hair is in both of our families and so are the blue eyes. He is 2 1/2 now and still had big beautiful blue eyes. His hair is still blonde but it is getting darker. I think it will turn brown before he is a teen. Good luck with the new baby. I am sure that he/she is going to be beautiful.

I am blond and blue eyed, both my parents and their parents and grandparents were fair with blue eyes. My husband's father and all his family, parents, grandparents etc. were fair, some with red hair, and blue eyes. However, my husband's mother was of Italian descent and both of her sons have brown eyes.
I have four children, the first has blue eyes, the second brown, the third, a girl is a redhead with blue eyes and the fourth has deep brown eyes. So, who knows, genetics is such an enormous subject, still being researched, anything could happen. Hope your pregnancy continues OK, best of luck.

There is really no way to tell, my husband has blue eyes which are supposed to be recessive to my brown eyes but all 3 of my kids have light eyes. The only thing you can do is wait!!

Doctors..scientist...now say that the brown eyes aren't necessarily dominant. If your husband has blue eyes and it is a 'trade mark' in his family, then it is a strong gene and could be what your baby has. My husband side has a lot of blue, so she pulled from outside just me and him. He is green and I am brown eyed.

it really depends on the genetic makeup of both your families. My grandfather on my father's side had brown eyes, my grandmother green. They had three children, one with brown eyes, two with bright blue! On my mother's side, my grandmother had bright red hair with blue eyes, my grandfather black hair and brown eyes (part Italian), they had 6 children, four with red-red hair, one with dark brown and my mother had very blonde hair and green eyes! I have the red hair of my grandmother, and the blue eyes of my father! My younger brother has green eyes and brown hair, my other brother has what we call "racoon" hair because it has brown, blonde and red in it, with dark blue eyes. LOL! Since I have red hair and bright blue eyes, and my husband has black hair and light brown eyes, I'm also wondering what our child will look like! My mother in law has reddish brown hair and brown eyes, and my husband's father has blue eyes....so we'll see. You could do a little checking to see if your husband has any blue or green or even brown eyes in his immediate family, also see if there has been anyone on your side with light eyes or a different color hair, sometimes even though you have dominate dark coloring, you could also have a recessive light colored gene which your child will inherit.

Are you familiar with the Métis? These are people who were a mix of european and natives. Many of their children are born with fair skin and eye's were as some of them weren't. Just matters how the genes mix I suppose.

Some have brothers and sisters that look white while they are very native looking.
