Extra Blankets.
When you're a kid in your parent's home, you overlook how many blankets, quilts and sheets they've collected in the sixteen plus years you've been alive. You will be cold and you will have to do laundry. During those times you'll suddenly realize how much you miss the large supply of portable insulation your parents possessed and which you do not.

Everything a household contains as when you move out you are too poor to go and buy it! Linen is the most expensive like sheets, towels, blankets, etc. Remember if you have guests over as well. Make sure you have all your cooking needs like baking trays, pots and pans. You also find it hard to live without even a microwave! Make a big list of what you need from where you live now and start requesting things on all your birthdays, xmas's to stock up for when you move.

I was never taught about finances in High School. I went to a terrible school that didn't really prepare me for anything, and my parents didn't even talk to me about "the birds and the bees", so they of course would'nt have discussed finances with me either.
This really disabled me when I got out on my own, because it took me a long time to really understand personal finances
