I lie all the time, and so does most folks. Everyone tells white lies. And Im sure I've given my share this week. Probably 3-6. I made the comment I'm going to H*** for telling so many fibs to my pts. But honestly, telling a pt who is really suffering from dementia that they can't leave the building because its raining so bad outside isnt so bad in the grand scheme of things. I usually use that as a last resort though. 1st line i pull is "your dr. really wanted you to stay here with us tonight so we can keep an eye on you. We'll talk about leaving in the morning ok" Which again kinda is a lie, because if you've been in a nursing home for 12 years.....you're not leaving in the morning.

I'll say anything that is non harmful to keep from upsetting them and to maintain their safety. Except for their health or their condition. Always truthful with that.

only one time when I lied to my girlfriend that we are not making love anymore, but in fact, I made love to my wife and my sister-in-law a few times. Just kidding.

I'm retired and stay home most of the time. In other words I don't have much social contact to lie for anything. Come to think about it- maybe I have not lies in a long, long time.

Only once. I told the wife I was going to play poker and went shopping for a Valentine's Day gift for her instead. I bought her a gold ankle bracelet. (and a new CD for myself)
I'm pretty sure I was lied to more than once last week.

I lied to my GF this morning. I told her I was giving up drinking. Probably because I have a hangover?
