He commands the evil spirit to enter him. As the demon possessed priest weighs on choking the girl, he comes to himself and jumps out the window to his death.

He commands the demon to "take me" and the demon jumps from the girl into him. You see a split second of him with the demons eyes before he throws himself out the window, where he dies at the bottom of the steps. My favorite scary movie of all time. You should also read the book.

I have not watched it cause it freaks me out too much. But I do know that it is not a ghost, it is demon possession. It is based on a true story. I think he lets it in him and he jumps out the window. Not sure.
