Use a Swiffer Wet Jet mop once a week. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to go over the whole floor, depending on the size of your kitchen. Leaves floor looking brand shiny new!

I think you should clean it. Think of the satisfaction of a clean floor.
Think of all the dirt and germs that might get into your food.
I always try and do a little bit of cleaning as I go along.
Get a pack of antibacterial floor wipes and a swiffer type of mop if you are lazy.
You can attach the damp wipe to the swiffer mop and throw the cloth away after so now manky cloth hanging around.
Germs breed on wet mop heads anyway and they are a hassle.
Ban shoes from kitchen if you dont want to clean it everyday.

That does not necessarily make you a good cook. My late father used to say never put off 'till tomorrow, that which you can do today. Then he'd say right lad lets go down the pub. So we did.
When I lived in Pakistan, some of the villagers would spread fresh Buffalo dung on the mud floor for special occasions. Very Eco' friendly they also used it to cook with, as fuel.

I don't mean to be rude but... DAMN!!
You haven't swept your kitchen for a week?!?
I have hardwood floors and I go over mine every day with a dust mop. It's part of my daily cleaning . After i'm done with dishes and wiping down counter tops and table, I always finish with the floor. I'ts amazing how much stuff if dropped on it every single day. From bread crumbs from making a sandwich to pet hair from the chihuahua to a drop of pepsi that dripped off of the glass after it was poured. I would definitely sweep it today :-)

well I use my kitchen every day , I find the best way to clean it is by passing the hoover, because if your kitchen floor is full of bit´s then those bit´s get carried from one room to the next, so extra work for you or you could by some chickens, they will clean it for you , and you´ll get fresh eggs everyday . how do they say kill 2 birds with one stone

Yes, I would wash it today. A week is a long time to go without washing your floor. Kinda gross, don'tcha think?? Why is it that a drty floor makes you a good cook again?? Seems to me, there's no logic in that. A CLEAN cook, is a good cook!
