I really enjoyed reading The Phillars of the Earth, by Ken Follett. It's quite long, but it gives the exact time to finally end reading and actually feeling waht the characters feel... It's an incredible experience.
Furthermore, I also liked The Swarm, by Frank Schätzing. It's got a story that makes you think and also makes you unable of stopping reading, giving as well a lot of information about all kind of issues. Really well-worth reading, indeed!

My favorite book in the whole world is "Love in the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

The reasons are many, but above all is the beauty of the language. This book is so well written and the story is so beautiful. It is really a jewel. A book I recommend anyone to read.

Before I forget, the book has so many wonderful quotes. Well, here are some samples:

"He allowed himself to be swayed by his conviction that human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them, but that life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves."

"A man knows when he is growing old because he begins to look like his father."

"The heart's memory eliminates the bad and magnifies the good."

A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving is a phenomenal book. It's funny, deep, interesting, and moving all at once. The description on the back is "Owen Meany, the only child of a New Hampshire granite quarrier, believes he is God's instrument. He is. This is John Irving's most comic novel; yet Owen Meany is Mr. Irving's most heartbreaking character."

The book is about this very small boy named Owen, but is told from his best friend's point of view, John Wheelwright. The two of them are completely different people, but they're the best of friends.

I first heard of this book at a reading I went to to see J. K. Rowling, but there, John Irving read a very funny part of the book, and I immediately fell in love with it. I make constant references to the book in conversation and anybody who knows me can tell that it's my favorite book.

I highly recommend this book!!! It keeps you reading, and keeps you thinking even when you've finished. =)

///Note: I used this same short-ish review to answer a different question about my favorite book. It was still written by me, however. =) \\\

Dune by Frank Herbert. It is a fantastic world of the future with unbelievable ties to the present day. If you read the book change the word "spice" to "oil" and you will see the relevance.

I enjoy The Kite Runner. The story and plot are spellbinding, uncosnciously attracted you not to leave the book until you reached the last page. It is a mixture of innocence of a child, friendship, love and family. It is undeniably one of the best books. Extremely touching.
