The problem ls in the water fill relay located on a metal plate that is part of the hose hookup with two wires that go to it. The washer will not agitate or spin uness the tub fills with water to the desired level. Check connections on the relay and if they are good then replace the relay.

Might be the lid safety switch. There is a hole in the top of the washer that a pin on the lid fits into to push a switch that indicates the lid is closed. If the pin is broken off or if the switch is out of position or faulty the machine will not pump water out or spin...Good Luck...
The switch has to be made (meaning completing the circuit) for the spin cycle to work. So disconnecting it will not make it work.. Connecting the wires together will make it work but is an unsafe condition and I wouldn't recommend it... Luck Again..

Most of the answers are close to right , take a pencil or small stick and press lighty on the little switch try and listen or maybe feel the click it will will be real slow, if you don;t hear it that might be your problem, the switch goes to the wig wag assembly it is a soleneniod that is enerergixed by that switch, you will have to call a repairman for that one, Good luck

This is very common in washers, I do not remember the name of the part, but I had a repair company come in and labor + part was only $65. The part is less than $2 dollars.
