the best bunny we had was a mini-rex he was awesome, also harness trained and litter box trained. he would have the run of the house and sleep with you at night. I had the flu real bad once and I think he knew and laid with me all day on the couch,(that is rare). He was my daughters and she carried him around in a basket. They can scratch but for $5-10 pet stores will clip them., which I suggest. They love toys too, all kinds. You can buy special ones at the pet stores, but ours seemed to love t.p. tolls.
If you do take them out side keep them out of the sun, they can overheat and die quickly. If it gets hot out freeze up a bottle of water and they will love it.

Good luck...and...have fun

I had one and he wasn't really all that. He didn't much care for being held, and when he did, he didn't seem comfortable. He actually died one day when we had him playing. It was summer and we had one of those "cages" - more like a fence that dug in to the grass so he could run around. My dog saw him and ran up and barked and he had a heart attack and died.

We never bought another bunny.

A bunny will just sit in the cage all day and not do much, however you can feed it till it is fat and eat it

ok if you get a rabbit when it is young...and train it to wear a harness...they can be a blast because you can walk them and take them on car rides..and they will get to know you and love you ..but only if you spend a lot of time with it..same with guinea pigs...if you want a quickly bonding fun pet...go for a ferret a chinchilla or a sugar glider (i personally love sugar gliders expensive little boogers though) they love to play and are easy with the harness even if they are older..they like to play games...and get into trouble...but make great pets

Money? There are tons of them for adoption. I think they are cute and all but they are high maintenance. They are messy and chew everything.
