I have always wondered why these TV shows with a medical theme. Who came up with them? Like Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, ER. etc,

i couldn't find the creator of Scrubs
Basically any show is created by a person that has an idea for a show and pitch it to a production company. In the case of Scrubs, a person one day said I think a comedy in a hospital would be a great show. After it is pitched they probably write a couple of episodes to give potential backers and idea of how the show will look and sound. Eventually a pilot is shot from one script and the show is either picked up by a production company or not. These hospital shows are probably some of the few that made it off the cutting room floor before anyone even heard of them.

Im assuming that Bill Lawrence created the show. Whoever thought of it is a genius-I personally think Scrubs is one of the best shows on tv.
