Because SachIN is IN because of his influence & clout & not because of his game. The sach is that he sd. retire from cricket,become SACHOUT. He will do better selling Boost.

The main reason is injury.
The great maestro Sachin is ruined by back to back injuries for the past 3 or 4 years but Lara is still going strong (except some minor injuries).

The expectation on sachin is far heavier than with lara, becoz sachin has a overwhelming record in the ODI , where as lara has it in the test arena....
Lara has proved himself to be a great player and a decent captain.. so he has kept himself quite happy in spite of injuries.. out of form .. etc..where as sachin had a tough time being the captain....hence i believe.. he might not be having great rapport with his buddies... (his buddies might be just respecting him just for his record... may be human touch from him is missing).
So what is my point , well.. both are matured seasoned players... but now its time for "Mind -Games" and not just talent wars or physical strength....
lara is keeping himself cool... and talks like a good leader.. hence i think his mind is free....where as sachin... keeps everything to himself

the thing is Sachin is not concentrating on his game...
check the case of ganguly... he dint concentrate and he was thrown out !! after dat .. he concentrated on the game like HELLL and now he's back like a BOMB !!!
now if Sachin does not further concentrate on the game... the same thing wich was done with ganguly should be done by him.

The acceleration in the middle overs wasnt needed.
He did what was required of him from the team.But of course he or Dravid should have been there till the end.

"SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST " it holds good for cricke the fit player survivives along with other qualities.lara is much much more fit than sachin which he also admits so naturaly he is able to take more out of his body
