I personally would go with Alan Hansen because he has a great knowledge of the game and talks a lot of common sense too.

I'd also go with Alan Hansen, not only because of his knowledge, but also the fact he is very relaxed, can take a joke and has great chemistry with his colleagues, Lineker, Shearer et al.
Jamie Redknapp is really kicking on and he's becoming an excellent pundit but Hansen has the experience over him at the moment.

Your all wrong Chris Kamara is by far the best pundit, funny passionate, knows his stuff - i wish he'd get a bit more exposure, hes far better than any of the other sky commentators.,
To the people who said Andy Gray - you mustn't have actually heard him commentate on anything, he bollocks on about bugger all his opinioins are way off and like everyother sky pundit (except kamara) it completely bias to the big 4.
Hansen is the best pundit that Beeb have - i like him a lot and his opinion commands respect, however hes a bit biased to big teams.

I don't know Hansen is bias to Liverpool, for Andy Gray he talks rubbish. Personally i like watching Phil Thompson when liverpool get hammered, not that i don't like Liverpool, just his face is a picture
