Sure, it could work it both parties are ok with it and the mutual boyfriend is ok with it. I think it owuld be important between the couple ot set ground rules and make sure that everyone understands what the deal is. Is the guy going to be living wiht you? Is it something on the side? Is it a threesome situation or one at a time? Is the mutual boyfriend expected to be monogamous with the couple and if not, what about safer sex? I think you need to think about it very hard and talk about it a lot before committing to anything like that.

If you can not commit to ONE person and be loyal without having to have a third party come in to the picture then I would think its in your best intrests to split up.
