yep because people will start suing them soon. I bet the fast food industry, like the tobacco industry, knows just how bad trans fat is for people and has covered it up for some time. Now that the truth is out, I bet they change to avoid being sued. Though congress may have made it so you can't sue food outlets, which is absurd. You should be able to sue anyone you want whenever you want. Just like I could be sued at anytime, a corporation should not have any special protections. also, since NYC has banned all trans fat, you know more cities will be doing it (portland, oregon is considering it), that will also force these giants to change as their so called 'food' is mass produced to be exactly the same wherever you go. fast food nation, to be sure.

I think in time, it will become that. Right now it is costly for the chains to switch over and if/when they do, you will see there prices go up and they will advertise they are not using trans fat

I think eventually it will become mandatory to stop use of trans fats. It's illegal in Europe, so I believe we will be soon to follow.

Yes I think .... more & more people are on diets due to having illness so because of so many foods having high fat volume...besides it is better for you to eat less trans fat....

yeah, but then someone will miss it and bring back the whole fatty foods trade and they will be realy successfull.
the way this centuarys going though looks like they will stop but then shortly after they will miss the taste of the FAT :) and bring back the good old mac donalds

no, it is cheaper, most restaurants want to make you the good tasting food. it is up to you to make the choice to eat the food or not.
