i guess it depends on the memories
sometimes the memories are so painful that its not really safe to rebuild that temple again
and sometimes its worth it to rebuild it ,maybe this time
you know how to build a stronger temple .

Profound question. I believe the answer to be yes, but maybe not the way one might think. Anything that shatters our inner world is, in my opinion, the first step of a fight that will eventually lead to our evolving. It doesn't really matter what the problem is. Each of them might be "the worst" at that time, and later seem to us to be insignificant compared to a new problem. The fight is never easy when our world is in pieces, and it often seems there is nothing ahead to fight for. But that is only the cloud that darkens our sight at a time like this. We are lucky to have "hope" on our side. Through winning such a confrontation we learn, become stronger and evolve as beings. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that the temple we "build again" should not be one made from "little pieces" of the old memories, but rather a new temple. Keep the old memories for they are experience, but make new bricks from what you have learned through this struggle and use these bricks to rebuild the temple. It will not be the same one, but in the end i think you will find it to be a bit taller, a bit stronger and a bit nicer than the old one.

I'm not too sure that I want to.
I have come to prefer the ruins. The times when the temple was built have passed.
I have come to see the loss and the emptiness as wisdom.
The ruins are open to the sky and the wind.
Everything changes.

could I? Yes. Should I? No. Many of my memories need to be put down beside the road as I travel forward, lest I keep looping around the same old highway.

I am in the process of doing that right now. I've shed the emotional baggage of a toxic friendship and returned to my first love.
