My brother & I are planning to throw a surprise party for our parents' 30th anniversary in April, for about 50 people. I think we already have a location (though suggestions would be welcome). Right now we're having trouble finding a place to do hors d'ouvres (finger food) at a reasonable price - we'd like to keep the food portion under $100 if possible. We are both living out-of-town so we're in the dark as to who does good party platters. We've checked out Schnucks & Dierbergs, but they seem a bit pricey.
Any suggestions? We're looking for regular food, like, fruit/cheese/crackers, mini sandwiches, spinach dip, chips/cookies, soda/juice to drink.
thanks!

p.s. We'd like the food budget to be around $100, if at all possible, but we have a separate budget for renting a place to hold the party, also about $100. So, if there is a way to cut a little off the location cost, we could add that to the food.
