Ask the schools you would consider transferring the credits to, that's all that matters. Eventually, you would have to be accredited by the state health department; if you can meet their licensure requirements, what school you attended is irrelevant.

Stick with a real school.

There are some online schools which are accredited, but you should realize that they do not carry the same level of prestige or respect as conventional schools, especially in any topic where there is really hands-on teaching required. I certainly would not want to be taken care of by a physical therapist who had received online training!!!!!!

When a school is accredited, it is a fairly minimal operation. Some people come to the school and look around for a few days. They mainly are just checking that there actually are buildings and real people as faculty. It doesnt guarantee that the program is any good. It doesnt say anything about how good the program is --- little no-name colleges can get the same accreditation as Harvard. It doesnt mean that they are as good as Harvard!

Does the school you are considering going to offer online/distance courses? Lots of schools do and some even offer entire degrees this way and when you graduate, no one knows how you did your degree!

It depends on the college whether they will tranfer credits or not from the college you want to attend. At Yale probably not, at CSU-LA prossibly, and at the Community College of Rhode Island more likely.

Good Luck!!!
