They are both about the same in cost. As far as which brand to choose depends on your own liking of each.

I prefer maybelline. Not only because it's cheaper than max factor, but the colors seem to fit my skin tone better. Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a favorite of mine. I've been using Maybelline since I started wearing makeup at age 16.

I don't know about the price, but I think Maybelline is definitely better. I don't use Max Factor. The colors seems kind of awkward to me.

Max Factors original designer worked specifically for the movie industry. The make-up has always been a preference of mine.
Mabelline and Loreal are manufactuered by the same people, but they always seem more oily to me.

i use both, im not sure which is cheaper.
max factor i believe though.
she's right, max factor stays on longer but maybelline has more volume.
use both.
its worth the money.
