You can connect to almost any city in Europe by train from Zurich. There are many U.S. companies that specialize in pre-selling European train tickets. One is raileurope.com They have several packages available and you can find them on their website. However, these companies charge much more than you would pay than if you just went to the ticket counter at the train station in Zurich and bought a ticket. So you are mainly paying for the conveinence of purchasing your tickets ahead of time. If you want to know the real prices of tickets go to the websites of the actual rail companies. Lastly, you should know that in many cases it is cheaper to fly on a regional airline than to take the train. Easyjet.com or Ryanair.com for example
