I noticed Stinkerbelle walking kind of stiffly. I ran, and normally my goats will chase after me, but Stinkerbelle didn't. When she did try to run, she kind of limped. Her hooves are not overgrown. What could be wrong with her?

I had a young buck that did that once. He was rammed into a wall by one of my bossy does. His back legs were real straight and stiff. I worked at a vet at the time, we did x-rays on him and just determined that he was a little sore from being slammed into the wall...he was fine after a couple days.

How long has she been doing this? I would say if she isn't acting any better by tomorrow, have the vet come and take a look at her....that's really the only way you are going to know what is wrong.

This grew to become right into a metaphor, it wasn't meant to mirror badly on goats. Shepherds could have been attentive to dividing up the animals into distinctive flocks is all. And having lived on a farm, i will inform you, goats are smart and lovable, yet they're a techniques from suitable; they have have been given issues only like the sheep do. Billy goats in specific reek. (yet, I nonetheless have a comfortable spot for goats.) Edit--to be honest, no longer all sheep are hassle-free to administration; this is why the shepherd has to have quite some endurance

Could she have gotton injured somehow? It could be a pinched nerve. You're not talking about the breed referred to as fainting goats are you? Asking because they normally walk stiff after a fainting episode. I would have her checked by the vet. They'll be able to pin down the problem. Since you say now that she is young that would make me wonder if she is utd on her vaccinations. I think you need to see the vet right away.

She may have some arthritis kicking in because of the cold weather. I'm sure once it gets a little warmer she will be fine.

Maybe her feelings are hurt with the name you gave her. Seek counseling for her. At least that is what the liberals would tell you, if they weren't advocating a lawyer for the goat that is.
