It appears that many people on here have a difficulty in actually posing the questions.
I reckon a lot of them think a sort of question and expect me to know what they are asking.
Examples:- in culture, "when did 1471 start", "where can I find" and not include what.
Also many people seem so lazy they want others to look things up on the web for them.

I have to agree, and then they get upset when you give a sarcastic, quizzical or facetious answer. Perhaps that is part of the fun, seeing how many baffled answers you can get to your non-question. I also find offencive those people who ask questions to which they have already made up their minds about. "Why are all Black People stupid"? and "Are all Christians social inadequate, Fundamentalist, God botherers" pretty much covers it, Although I'm sure you all have your own examples.

As for the "please do my homework for me" brigade. I suggest that you make up a "fact" that while it seems eminently plausible to a 12 year old, will have their teacher corpsing or wetting herself in the staffroom. In a different setting I had reason to declare that baby girls were born with tails (and that these were usually snipped off by doctors & midwives). I fully expect that in a couple of years this will become a new Urban Myth.

More seriously I usually try to offer a couple of internet links to try and give them an idea of where they can get their own info

I know what you mean. I got a violation for telling the person to put a term in a search engine that would lead them to all sorts of websites that would give them all the information they needed. They said I didn't answer the question. How lazy is that?!? I remember the dark ages when we had to leave the house to do our homework and look up information.

I *RECKON* or SUPPOSE that they are like you "said" lazy. What gets me is the ones about, "do you think that I am pregant"?, or "my child is sick, what should I do" It is a page from the Comics in the Newspaper sometimes to be sure.

There is no limit to human stupidity. Just look at the war in Iraq for an example. Even I have been incredibly stupid at times in my life, but I survived and learned from my mistakes.
