I have always been attracted to coffee mugs with great prints or logos on them. Not the ones available in regular shops. I mean the ones in the souvenir shops in museums, national parks, monuments and such kinda places. They have such neat looking ones and I always get a couple of them wherever I go.
So what is it that you love to collect?

I collect all sorts of things, but much more interesting than my collections are my friend Stacy's collections.

A collection of 'things found on the side of the road'. She entered this in the fair one year. She has rules about what she collects, it has to be durable (metal, plastic, etc.) and it has to have been crushed by cars. Sounds really weird but it was actually very interesting. She rides a bike most of the time so has lots of opportunities to add to her collection.

A collection of sand from beaches all over the world. She has a wooden case she keeps this in, each sand is in it's own vial and is coded. There is a key that tells where each sand was collected, during what year and by whom it was collected. She has friends who bring her sand from everywhere. The collection is arranged in the case by color - did you know there is sand in every color of the rainbow??

A collection of clothes pins - who knew there were so many kinds! A collection of those things you put in shoes to keep thier shape, once again, who knew!!

What I think is her 'weirdest' collection is a collection of no-view prints. You know how some envelopes have a printed interior to obscure the contents? She collects them! There are thousands and thousands of different prints, and new ones all the time. She's even got some of her other friends collecting these prints as well!!

Once she even entered a collection of collections in the fair. Stacy is one of the most creative people I know! She can find art in ANYTHING.

Fabric fabric fabric and more fabric. I even sometimes sew with it, but I would have to take a year off of work to use up all the fabric I've collected.

I just see a piece of fabric and something comes to mind of all the beautiful things that I could make with it so I take it and don't always get around to making what I intended to or, I'll have too many ideas for the size of the piece I have so I can't decide what to make and end up making nothing. And then going out a buying a new piece so I can make something else while I decide.
