Concerns are leaving pet in car. No generator for air conditioning or heater.

I'm thinking more on what can I do with my pet if I am traveling and I would like to go to a tourist attraction ... like a museum or zoo or something for a few hours? Conversion vans aren't large enough for a generator like a massive RV is. I'd like to travel with my dog, but I'd like to see more than just the scenery. If it is too warm or too cold to leave the dog, I could keep the van running, but by doing that, I leave the chance of having it stolen.

Why would you leave them in a car? For how long? Are you talking about leaving your cat or dog in an RV, in the same resting state it would be in when parked and just living in there? Is this is a warm time of the year? If the heat does not build up to sickening leaves, it is not to cold to stay outside then the animal should be fine if left with food and water. But leave a window open for air. and don't leave them for a long time.

My husky will stay in the car with window cracked in the winter, no heat, no water for 15 minutes at a time. He'll turn over on his back and fall asleep. I don't do this often and I wouldn't suggest you should either.

make sure that they have lots of water to drink and leave the window cracked a bit for air flow. as for the cold leave a blanket for them to cuddle up in to stay warm.
