Abortion is a medical procedure that should ONLY be discussed btwn the woman & her doctor. Ive no right to infringe in her privacy. I wouldnt want anyone to violate MY rights & dictate my health concerns. Ive no right taking away a persons rights, born/unborn.

Im AGAINST abortion.I DESPISE abortion & if I were a woman Id NEVER have one. BUT Im not a woman & wouldnt know how it is to so I wont JUDGE the circumstances of her abortion. I wouldn't know if she was raped, whether the pregnancy will hurt her and the child's health, psych problems etc. Its NOT my business. Its a very sensitive issue. Its a medical issue btwn her and her doctor, an M.D.

Im not pretentious to think that others cant think for theirselves. I have belief in other people & choices they make. To me NO abortion is the right CHOICE, but we have to give them choice first. Taking away freedom to choose would kill the idealogy of what America stands for. Jesus taught compassion & not to judge thats why i'm PROCHO

mithrilhawkins..abortion is an extremely sensitive issue. no woman wants to kill their child. but there are medical reasons where it is necessary to terminate a pregnancy.there are many reasons why it is better for the baby and the mother to abort. each situation is different and i leave it to the woman and doctor to use their best judgement. would you want anyone telling you how to deal with YOUR health?

if no one is pro abortion, then why do we give more than 270,000,000 tax dollars annually to planned parenthood, the largest abortion organization in the nation? they call the unborn a "mass of growth" or a "blob of cells". it's a baby.

planned parenthood doesn't support the right to choose, they pressure young girls to have an abortion for monetary gain.

abortion is not a healthy alternative to full term birth. it can cause breast cancer.

I used to have that opinion. It basically boiled down to not wanting to force my morality on others.

But ultimately, I think it's illogical. Stay with me a minute...

If you are against abortion, it is because you think the baby is alive. How, then, can abortion by okay but not infanticide?

And as for 'forcing' my morality on others - we do that all the time through our laws. Even the law against murder is a reflection on common morality. Why then is a law against abortion any different?

At the end of the day, I would be fine with a states' rights (10th amendment) view of the issue. If the people in some states want abortion to be legal, that's their right and if the people in other states do not, that is also their right.

EDIT: No, I wouldn't want to kill the mother by denying her an abortion.

Finally, I've heard someone say the same thing that I feel...I too am pro-choice and Christian (so therefore I don't believe in abortion), and no one could understand that. I believe, like my God believes, in free will, but I also think that you have to CHOOSE to make the right decisions. And I don't believe that murder is a right decision....And to me, it is murder...
But, every case is different, and each person will have to defend his or her actions, and I'm glad that I'm not the one who has to be the judge.

Yes. I'm the same way. I hate abortion but at the same time I'm pro-choice. I think that instead of banning the solution would be better unwanted pregnancy prevention then maybe abortions would be so uncommon it won't be an issue.

Sure it does. No one wants to kill, but we want others to have the freedom to do waht is best for them. None of us really like the outcome. You are not alone. Lots of us struggle with it.

Of course it makes sense.

You allow others the right to make a different choice from the one you yourself would make - that is a very good thing.

Well, I would never have one unless medically necessary. But I don't think there should be a law telling all women they can't.
