Most flat black surfaces are porous this allows dirt and wax to discolor the flairs. My suggestion coat the flairs with greasy tire dressing before putting them on or have them painted to match the color of the Jeep. Be sure to use flex additive in the paint and have a body shop paint the flairs off of the Jeep. You can even have the flairs painted glossy black.

There is a product you can apply that will keep them looking like brand new. Its made by USC or Urethane Supply Co. Its called Bumper and Cladding coat. It has to be applied with a spray gun and you dont have to sand it (so it dosent ruin the texture). All you have to do is wash it with hot water and dish soap, then dry it off and then use their special degreaser and you can spray away. They have a bunch of different colors that you can mix if you dont like black. It is flexable and adheres really well to plastic so you dont need any adhesion promoters or flex additives. If you go to a local body shop they can do it for you pretty reasonably and they probably have used it before. If you do try it yourself, it looks shitty when you spray it but when it dries it looks awesome. Good luck to you.

manufactured by Mothers, called Back to Black
it does work, found it at Autozone and Advance Autoparts.
Works simular to Armor All in that it re-hydrates the plastic of the flares. Armor All wont work so well on ABS plastic as it does on your dashboard.
