I bite my nails really really badly. Does anyone have any quick/easy tips to stop? I really need to, its been 12 years since I had nails. :[

Ok, um the stuff that taste horrible doesn't work because you get used to the taste after about a week and a half. Getting acrylic nails doesn't work either because once you keep getting them done then finally take the nails off, you'r nails will be extremely soft and you'll bite them anyway.
It takes 21 days for a habit to form. i bit my nails for the first 16 years of my life. I've tried everything the previous people have talked about. I finally had to use extreme willpower.I didn't like the way that my chewed up nails looked under acrylic nails and i wanted them to look nice under the nails for prom. Try setting a goal for an event that you want your nails to look nice for. If you can hold out for a mere 3 weeks - 21 days, you'll do fine. Good luck!

Sally Hansen makes a finger nail polish that tastes HORRIBLE to aid in stopping nail biting. It is also good to use on children who you're trying to get to stop sucking on their thumb. It worked on my daughter within 24 hours...
Also, I bit my nails the first 21 years of my life but started carrying around fingernail clippers in my pocket and everytime I found myself chomping I would stop and get the clippers out and clip instead. It helped me to stop biting but I still carry fingernail clippers around all of the time!

O man! I had the same problem. specially during exams.
my mom put oil on my nails and so slowly slowly I stopped.

let them grow a tiny bit- then go get yourself a natural set of acrylic/gel nails.......you definitely cannot bite those!!!

i was told years ago that mustard works ..dip your fingers in it and you wont want to bight them again.
