yes!! my poodle dog. when she's on the bed, or the couch, she has a toy with her, and she purposely nudges it off with her nose, and then gives us "the puppy stare", and she starts purposely sneezing, and growling at it until we get it for her.

A pet? Well, I seem to have been adopted by a roadrunner who perches in the creosote bushes near the house and very difficlult to see with the natural coloring of feathers. When I walk by he lets out a loud clacking sound like a child's party or holloween ratchet. The noise is similar to the cards that we used to attach to spokes on our bicycles for the staccato clatter. The first time, and maybe the second, I nearly jumped out of my pants. Another sound, like a macine gun unexpectedly going off.

Just watching him walk, and especially run, is funny; Nature's humor. They live for about eight years so hope this is a young one and will be around for some time.

Then, when I walk by he will come from his hiding place and run along beside me about eight feet to the side. So, yuh, he's a pet but can come and go as he pleases. The old addage, "You control without controlling."

yes, my little dog loves to torture my old cat. He follows him around, doesn't touch him but stays about 1/2 inch away. He'll do this until the cat gets annoyed and starts to tell him off. The dog will keep doing this until the cat turns around and bats him in the face. THEN the dog will turn around and back his butt into the cat and wag his tail in the cats face. I don't know what's more funny, the fact that the does seems to do this on purpose, or that the cat won't just get up on a chair or something where the dog can't reach. When the cat stops the dog will clean the cats ears, sneeze on him and walk away.

No my cat has no sense of humour, at all. Like yesterday I was just playing with her and she went and bit my finger 3 times!

i have 6 birds and a guinea pig. sometimes i let them all out at the same time, sometimes the piggie stays in. when the piggie is out, they usually don't bother him,but when he is in they all stand on top of his cage and squawk at him. my guinea pig found his sense of humor today, my lovebirds went up to him and pecked him on the nose a couple of times, he hid at first but when they didn't stop he squealed really loud and started chasing them. i swear there is nothing funnier than 2 see two lovebirds who always act tough be chased and scared by the fraidiest piggie in the world all while screaming-peep, peep, peep!!! the lovebirds eventually went into the cage with the piggie and shared his hay.

Yes - my rabbit LOVES to run out in front of me/my cats/my friends unexpectedly to startle us, and then skips away shaking his ears at us - the equivalent tof a bunny laughing. His favorite sites for launching these "attacks" are from under the sofa or the Christamas tree.

Absolutely - I have 2 Newfoundland males aged 4 months apart and they are chalk and cheese even though they are treated exactly the same by us. This puts to bed Bekah17 's theory that - 'they only react to our feelings and actions' - if this were true they would both be identical.

laugh if you like but i used to think that animals went to heaven. after a while a sat down and thought about it. i thought that maybe they have souls and that they had feelings. but now i think that animals only react to the way you are. so no... i doubt pets have a sense of humour. theyre only reacting to your feelings and actions.

i love pets.... especially dogs... they always have a way of cheering you up.

My rabbit seems to think its funny to run up and down infront of our blind lizards glass doors, giving the lizard the scent of him but not being able to see him!! he waits until the lizard gets to the front and then dashes away, then comes back once the lizards back is turned.
Im sure he knows what he's doing!!!

Yep... dogs obviously show they're personality and our dog has inherited the family sigh so when he gets told to sit down or lie down and he finally gives up and lies down and then this massive sigh comes out... it's so funny!
