I don't know. I vaguely recall a very pretty young Britney Spears when I watched television years ago, but who's Paris Hilton? Sorry, I just don't watch TV anymore and have completely lost interest in such shallow things.

I don't know. I guess they are wasting their lives by reading or watching them. Paris Hilton and Britney Spears aren't worth it. In fact, I think these girls act like children! ( And that's coming from someone who is younger than they are )

Sigh. I don't get it either. I am not a teenybopper, I have a full and happy life, and yet I find myself clicking on over to Perez Hilton, People.com, and The Superficial once a day. I even put these URLs into my Blogroll on my 360.
It is one big soap opera. Entertainers are supposed to be entertaining, and so they are.
Good question.

I guess it's nice to see even famous people making fools of themselves. But to be honest I can't understand the fascination either

I don't concern myself with them. They are much like the bubble bum that sticks to the bottom of your shoe that you can't get off until you walk around awhile. Inconvenient, but it'll eventually go away.

Because they are seen to be beautiful, talented (???) and perfect and we love seeing "perfect" people slip up and make mistakes, ie. sex tapes, marriages break ups, looking rough falling out of nightclubs, etc.
