That is something that should be changed. A pregnant woman should count as one not two. What if it's a first trimester case? Was it really a human? What if the woman didn't know she was pregnant and is discovered later on? Is the man to be blamed for 2 murders? That is a double standard and I don't like it. The man should be charged with one murder.

no longer all criminal structures view the fetus as someone, in reality, maximum in user-friendly words evaluate it someone if that's born alive and achievable. in my opinion, if it would not have a coronary heart beat, that's no longer alive, there is in user-friendly words a probability that it will be alive if the being pregnant is permitted to proceed. in spite of everything, i do not trust a "conceivable" man or woman takes priority over an present man or woman, for this reason a lady has the right to do even with she chooses consisting of her own body - undemanding human rights.

In most cases, the court is going to look at how far along the woman is. If you can't tell the woman is pregnant and the accused did not know that the woman was pregnant, he may very will be charged with one count of murder and one count of manslaughter. But if he can tell that she is pregnant and she is far enough along then he would most likely be charged with two counts of murder.

Because Republicans changed the law?
Besides, this goes on the "Her body, her choice" rule that many Liberals and Conservatives support.
She has the right to an abortion, but if she doesn't want one and someone decides for her, then her freedom was violated, and that would usually mean a crime has been committed.

Is this asked for pro abortion reasons ? You cannot compare the two. Two lives were taken , two charges should be made. In abortion it is premeditated and only one life is taken.

I was wondering why, then,if a woman miscarries for questionable reasons, such as smoking,or alcohol, or drugs,or reckless life style,(driving drunk).etc... why can't the woman also be charged with a crime as well

Because only the women can apparently decide if the baby is murdered.

Potential of life has been destroyed.
I agree with Dizz. I think you are just pushing your own agenda here.
I bet you are one of these right to life people who kill security guards outside abortion clinics and yell and scream at young girls as they are going in the building. Shame on you. I don't want your points.

It depends on the stage of the pregnancy, whether the fetus could survive outside the uterus.
