Never have found another one in 5 years of rock hunting around my state ( Oregon), & I can't tell if it is naturally this conglomeration of different rocks ( I think thats what it is, anyway) or if somehow it could have been caused by people? Either way, what are the likely reasons for a rock to end up like this one? http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/5347/hpim0558xn6.jpg

It looks like a bunch of different varieties of rock that came together in on place and through normal geological processes were fused together as a new rock. Kinda like dipping a handful of fruit loops in glue and allowing it to harden.

I would assume it is a section of rock that was heated greatly, perhaps through geological activity. To be absolutely certain, I'd suggest taking it to the nearest science facility.
