You did say "can be any type of leader." He was cruel and unreasonable yes, but he rounded up thousands of people to his beliefs and created one of the strongest, most driven armies we've ever known. And there are still people today who subscribe to his teachings. Unbelievable.

Genghis khan - He treated the conquered people better and payed more than their own leaders.
Alexander The Great - He was a model leader with the sense of a genius. He could listen to advice as-well as give it. He fought side by side and camped with his men with no special treatment for himself.
