I just wish for consistancy. I want the man to have a say. If he wants the abortion and she has the child, he shouldn't have to pay child support. If he wants the child and she has the abortion, the man just lost his son/daughter. The radical feminist movement seems to think women get pregant on their own, and the man plays no role in it (that is, until its born, then pay up!). It sounds stupid, but I advocate for men's rights in this hot topic area

I am a conservative--against abortion in MOST circumstances. You're question is EXCELLENT!. I do know that sometimes contraception fails. That is unforunate--but there is always a risk of becoming pregnant even with birth control. ( I don't believe you're questioning instances of rape or incest so let's not go there.) Fem-nazi's use abortion as a 'power tool' against men who either want the child or couldn't care less--but still they have the POWER over the man. And it's also an easy-out for those who take NO responsibility in their sexual lives. If more women would take the initiative to USE birth control CORRECTLY--we could see a dramatic decrease in the number of unwanted pregnancies. The only way that will ever happen is if abortion wasn't so readily available. Abortion has become a form of birth control which I find reprehensible!
I can't go to the doctor and have my appendix removed because I don't want it there. There has to be a valid medical reason for doing so.

If the man stood up and took responsibility like a man should, it probably would reduce abortions by 90%.
Every pro life rally you see, the men are the majority of the protesters. Where were they when the woman made the decision to terminate the pregnancy . Probably making other babies.
This answer will probably get reported, but oh well!!

And the big question is...Why is it when there are so many highly effective methods of birth control, do we still have such a high unwanted pregnancy rate...leading to abortions? If that simple precaution isn't an example of "not" taking responsility, I don't know what is.

okay man i can see you must be confused or you'd realize that it takes more than our eggs to make a baby we need the sperm also if it was possible for women to impregnate themselves (excluding sperm banks) than we wouldn't have much use for you men. maybe if parents CHOOSE to get there heads out of there butts and realize that no matter what there teens were going to experiment with sex and were taught about prevention there'd be less teen pregnancy and less vd's but most parents CHOOSE to live in denial and not to educate there children of these important lessons.i speak with my nieces and step children about these issues all the time when my own children are old enough i will Pound the issue of birth control and safe sex into their brains i will also supply birth control to my children I CHOOSE to educate not deny the realities of life.

You are right, and if it was consensual sex and the male chooses that the child live, he can take her to court and force her to have the baby.
