When a female stops having monthly cycle which often happens at around 50years og age,her body lacks a hormone which is called Estrogen.This leads to hot flushes and also insomnia.The patient feels hot and swats.this is called hotflushes.

It's a term to discribe what happens to women during menopause. Basically their hormones are out of wack and they develop these periods of time when they get very flushed, hot ans sweaty.
