All the time, the best way to use them is to plan your route off a map, and take no notice of the sat nav, or it will send you the most weirdest ways. I travel all over the place, and only ever take notice of it when I've hit my town of destination. Then it really comes into it's own, much better than keep stopping, looking at the street map. Don't forget there are roadsigns, map's and common sense to aid you to your destination, use them, along side sat nav, Anyway it's better than letting your wife do the navigating !

Turn around where possible I think is the term. NOT U turn in the middle of a motorway so don't blame the sat nav

Blame your driving and you brains for the interpretation

i am a taxi driver and i find that the post code in sat nav are more reliable.but i also find its better to get to the town or city that you are going to and then use your sat nav to finalise your destination

Yep!
A lot of the time I'm driving into oblivion. Sometimes it has me diverting miles away from where I want to go.
Last year in Devon it sent me the long way round to my destination......130 miles wrong!
Better sometimes to use old-fashioned maps.
