Ask yourself is time finite or infinite and you have your answer.
Either way God exist.

Because time is not finite even if it is....ha
Then what you think of as God is only a minor manifistation of an even greater version of that god. mental human evolution is what enables us to see him in a better light. It's why Jews were told to kill so many people thousands of years ago. Because they were not ready for his love...they were only open to fearing him. It is why further in the future Jesus speaks of forgiveness and sacrifice and love, because people were then open to hearing these things. No one created God.......that is the point of being God.

The question is not that deep. I asked myself that when I was about 5 years old.

If you stand in front of a wall and contiously reduce your distance to that wall by one-half, mathematically speaking you will never reach that wall.

Everythig else in the Universe as far as we can tell was present before Humans. Humans are the most recent inovation of all lifeforms on planet Earth. Humans are even the most recent among the mammals. We are a relatively young lifeform by camparison and as such are still discovering, exploring, and learning. Even the most intelligent of us are lacking, which is why we need to learn to how to learn. Our collective abilities are remarkable, astounding, unremarkabel and even sometimes frightening.

Because we are young, it may very well be that collectively we are not mature enough to understand the subleties of creation as yet. After look at the mundane thngs that we do not understand. It is also reasonable to include that we are emotioally immature. Other animals do not seem to go out their way to destroy one of their kind.

Just as we think we understand, something overlooked is uncovered or even sometimes revisited, to change our understanding about something that we thought we knew in every detail.

I recommend refletions fo the attributes of the Creator so that you can make sense of your conundrumn. Enjoy your search, the answer will find you.

Its a paradox - where did God - or any ultimate starting point - come from?

I guess all these kinds of questions can only be answered with the seeming nonsense -- God (or the Universe) has always been. Whether its God or the Universe or whatever - you ultimately have to just accept that maybe somethings just always were. Or, there's an infinite line of things (Gods or Universes) from which things have sprang. Either answer is actually incomprehensible in any real way and just doesn't fit in with our cause-effect notion of how things work.

Hence the need for faith (in God, or science, or beauty, or what have you.)

Nothing created God. God is the creator of everything else. But if you want a none religious answer, God is the human way of explaining everyhting that we don't know. The sun- God. The stars- heaven. Lightning- Zeus (ie a Greek God.). The list is endless. God is just proof of things we can't explain

No-one. Otherwise we would call the creator of god, God because he would be superior. God was just always there. Before life, death, time, and matter. Even before the universe. As he was created before time, he has no origin because to have a beginning you need time.

What do you mean like how he was born or how he became famous. Well you have to understand that Gods have a lot of nicknames, just like me and you. Its a complicated process of name changes over several thousand years but they seem to refer back to the same original group.

The Creator created Himself/Herself, satisfied? The "how" is a story for another day but I doubt anyone would believe it.

God is only a creation of human minds. He only exist if people think he exist. I agree to Banana C. God serves only as humans' scape goat.
