Every time you find a letter with a given value in an expression substitute it for the given value and then work out the result. For instance P+Q=14. becomes 4+10+14. PXQ=40 becomes 4X10=40.

if i'm understanding the question right, in the expression, just substitute the letter for the value it is given,
i.e. p x q would mean 4 x 10 therefore the value would be 40

with the letter put the number in its place , so if Q - P =X what is X, 10 - 6 = 4 so X is 4

If p=4 and Q=10
(Q*Q) + (Q*P)=
(10*10) + (10*4)
100 +40
140
I hope this is a good example

well, you should post the expression (at least one) in here,
for exaple, if the expression is:
E(x) = (2x+2)/2 - supposing that x = 1
E(x) = [2(x+1)]/2
E(x) = x+1
E(x) = 2
