differentiate the action power of soap and detergent as cleansing agent?

Soap is a natural product and a detergent is a man made product.
Just as a clue I will tell you that with soap, it basically makes water wetter.
Detergents contain things like solvents.
Not really sure that this is right - but worth a try!
