It depends on the makeup. Many makeups contain so many chemicals. They can clog and enlarge pores. They can cause inflammation and other skin problems. Go to this site to find out more about different makeups: http://www.ewg.org

If you are looking at Mineral makeups, not all of them are completely natural. This site compares some of the most popular:http://reviews.ebay.com/INGREDIENTS-LIST-FOR-POPULAR-MINERAL-MAKEUP-FOUNDATIONS_W0QQugidZ10000000001833019

I use Affordable Mineral Makeup. It has four ingredients. Does not contain fillers or preservatives.
Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Iron Oxides
Zinc Oxide is known for its healing properties in problem skin such as rosacea and acne, it has the ability to stay on even while sweating and swimming, as well as offers protection from the sun's harmful UV rays. Titanium Dioxide also has waterproof and SPF properties while providing a Matte look. Mica has some transparent properties and allows the makeup to go on smoothly. Iron Oxides give the makeup its pigment.

Well, as a 26 year old woman, who has probbaly been wearing make-up since about 17 or 18, Iand although I get the very occassional spot (who doesn't), my skin is in very good condition. I happen to wear only Beneift Cosmetics & find them light on my skin & good for my skin tone.

The majority of make-up brands include skin conditioning ingredients as well as SPFs and sometimes anti-aging ingredients. In fact, wearing mkae-up protects it against the weather & helps keep it conditioned & supple.

The only way make-up could clog your pores or have a bad effect is if you fail to wash if off at nights. A good cleaning regime is essential, as well as a good night moisturiser. And drink lots of water.

If you're not sure which types of make-up or colours etc would suit you or be the best for your paricular skin tone, why not go to a makeup counter in a department store or chemist. I'm sure they'd be only too happy to help you ouy & would probably also give you tips on how to apply make-up.

You know makeup doesn't have bad effects but if it is used correctly and I'll tell you the steps:
1. Buy good kinds of makeup.
2. use a daily creme.
3. use eyes creme.
4. use the night creme.
5. Wash your face with the face washer not with the soap.
6. Don't forget to make maskes on it.

Yeah of course it will because everything you put on your face dissolves into your skin. My aunt has been wearing make-up for 15-20 years and now she HAS to wear make-up because her skin is blotchy and discolored because of wearing it. I don't wear make-up. I think of it this way. If I wouldn't eat it, why would I put it on my face?
