Be prepared!
Do a little research on the company and have a good handle on their order of operations. Have at least one well thought out question which demonstrate to the interviewer that you are interested in the well being of the company.
Dress appropriately!
This is not the time to show cleavage, thighs, the whale tail, the cutely painted toes...this means business casual if you are applying for busines positions. Button down shirt, light sweater, knee length skirt or trousers and closed toed shoes. Not too heavy on the perfume, nor makeup and make sure your fingernails are somewhat concervative.
Brush those teeth, make sure your breath is fresh.
Do not jiggle during the interview, make sure your resume is in order (have a professional look at it.) You may want to make a different resume to present which emphasizes your experience in the area you want to work.
Be congenial without being sappy. "Hello, thank you for the opportunity to present my qualifications."
Be professional.
Never ever ask what the pay is or money questions up front.
That is for the call back interview only.
Otherwise they get the impression you are there for the buck and will presume that the attitude you will have is "I'm only here for the money."
Hope this helps.
I hear its a tough market out there.

Over 85% of European women said they wouldnt be offended if asked to remove their top during a job interview. Seriously though maybe after your interview send a follow up letter to the person interviewing thanking them for the opportunity and the interview.

Keep your head up and look them straight in the eyes when they are questioning you. Don't smile or laugh unless one of them makes a joke. Put on a positive front.
Good luck

oh..i know how you feel! so...smile, relax and be yourself..and importantly - prepare yourself for that question 'is there anything you would like to ask?'...thats the question i hate and never seem to be prepared for...so think of some good questions if you are asked...good luck - something will come along..it always does!

Dress nice, sit up straight, talk grammatically correct...
Maybe it's your work history or people gave you a bad reference.
