I believe it's the splitting of the production of our countries products into subproducts, smaller and smaller.

Instead of just producing one way to get transported, we produce several (cars, busses, trucks, boats, airplanes, etc), then from there, there are brands, etc. From there, you can break down components, etc.

Nowadays, our country's products are more and more fractionalized as our products are more diverse and less uniform.
