Well grasshopper. You have learned what may happen when you buy generic.

I presume it is the case or drive fan. I would buy a bigger case fan. I have never seen a 12 cm case fan from icute. Maybe you meant their 120 mm case fan.

Other things. Did this problem of overheating occur before you bought the new fans? Were the fans inside replaced by the same size fans? Did you go the CHEAP route to save money? Generally, the more money on a fan, the better made. But then you have to look at if it has lights or colored pretty, which will jack up the price.

Normally, if you replace the same size fans, you should have no problem. If it got too hot inside, then the computer might turn off or restart. Now how long were the new fans in the computer before you started having the problem? If right away, then possibility that you have a defective fan. If not I would check the hook up or did you put the wires right. After 10 points and two weeks of correspondence I found this one guy had jury rigged the wires to the fan. I got sidetracked as the original question of his was on memory. LOL But I had fun. Like being a detective. I got him straight finally.

You see generic is usually the fans that did not meet the specifications of the original manufacturer. Another company may buy them in bulk, put their company name on it and sell it to you. They do this on memory chips too. As you see fans are cheap.

If the fans were new and you installed them and the problem was immediate then apparently you have a defective fan or wiring.
