Boot from your system disc. Choose option Format drive. it will do the rest. After youve done that reinstall your drivers etc. Job done. Will prob take a few hours so have plenty cups tea to hand. Regards AM

Sell it without the hard drive. Or buy an inexpensive hard drive and put xp on it. If you dont know what bios is, formatting and reinstall wont get rid of imformation.

reinstallation is the easiest way. You may need to format all drives before you install on it. Alternately you can use a separate program like DBan to delete the contents of the HD securely

While Windows is running, put your Windows cd into the Rom and choose to do a New intallation (it deletes the old).

If this does not work then place the CD into the Rom and reboot your PC and follow the prompts

I found it easy to delete the relevant files (most of then in my document) empty the recycle bin and then do a disk defragmentation (all programs/Accessaries/System Tools/Disk defragmenter). The files are moved arround and write on the empty space left behind by the deleted files and therefore destroy the remain traces. also delete all cookies by search the word cookies.

Your customer may be happier to enjoy more programs left behind
