You will only get a positive pregnancy test if you are pregnant. Breastfeeding hormones will not give you a positive pregnancy test.

It's a good possibility that you are pregnant. When I took a pregnancy test I also had a faint faint line so I took another test, one that was a little bit more expensive and it did in fact come out positive. I know what you mean about the pricey doctor bills so to save money just buy a different brand pregnancy test and see what happens. It all depends on how old your son is also, I know breast feeding can stop your period for a while so maybe wait a week and try another test.

I really dont want to frighten you but this needs a doctor's attention. You didn't say how old your baby is. There are three possibilities here:
1. You are pregnant. This is, by far, the most likely
2. It is a false-positive test. This happens in up to 5% of cases.
3. Development of trophoblastic disease which can follow a normal pregnancy. This is rare but possible. You can check details on the link below.

You will appreciate therefore that your situation needs resolution and your doctor is the best person to do that.

Yes, you are pregnant. Just because you are breastfeeding and haven't had your period yet, does not mean you cannot get pregnant. Go to the doctor and get a blood test done to confirm this. I am sure while you were in the hospital after you had your son and at your 6 week checkup afterwards, your doctor informed you about birth control or asked you what type of birth control you will be using. You must use birth control when you have sex, you are more fertile after having a baby. Breastfeeding does not protect you from getting pregnant.

FYI... the only time you can get a false positive in a pregnancy test is shorty following a pregnancy i.e a few weeks after you give birth, or have a miscarrige or abortion

so you should make an app at your dr's, breastfeeding has never been a form of birth control

I wouldnt think that breastfeeding would cause you to get a positive pregnancy test but I would suggest that you see your gp asap as they can do a test and maybe a blood test aswell if needed to find out for sure. if your definately pregnant then you will need a scan to see how far along you are especially if you havent had a period for a while. good luck

Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Learn here https://tr.im/urzCs

Infertility is a condition defined as not being able to become pregnant after at least one year of unprotected, regular, well-timed intercourse. Women who suffer from multiple miscarriages may also be diagnosed as infertile. Infertility may be classified into two groups, primary and secondary infertility.

Congratulations!
An HPT will only say positive if the pregnancy hormone is detected, you are more than likely pregnant, time to go see the GP!
