Hi, I know it is difficult to get travel insurance as my father is also 79 and has emphsema. He gets his from Tesco. Saga is very very expensive. Here are some of the websites that do insurance for over 79:-www.staysure.co.uk quote £43.63, this is a basic insurance to the usa. Ring them on 0870 046 4560. www.moneysupermarket.com came up with 4 quotes for your age to the USA. One was £100.69, second was £126.86, third was £129 and the 4th one was £150. I know how difficult it is to get insurance once you hit a certain age, Can we call it "ageism." Try Saga they are ok.
