Hi firedblade, me and my husband are undergoing treatment too. They will scan you to check you have plenty eggs and no cysts or fibroids etc, take bloods (if they havent already) to check for hormone levels and thyroid etc. Swabs of your vagina to rule out infection. Your doc will take a history, how long you been trying, monthly cycle (go with the first day of your last period in mind as she will prob ask) your partner will be asked to provide a sperm sample. She will check you are having sex at the right times too. I was offered two procedures to check my tubes were clear. One was an x ray and the other was a more invasive but thorough check with a laproscopy (camera into your belly button) i chose the latter (as i have a history of endometriosis) it was a quite sore after but am glad i had it as i know i have no blockages now. As soon as all our tests came back clear i was offered Clomid which i am now taking and go back for 6 monthly check ins. Its all fairly straight forward and they are very professional and friendly, good luck x
p.s we werent asked to have sex to check we were doing it right!

I just went through fertility treatment a year ago. I now have perfect 3 month old twins. My first appt was a consult. We discussed my medical history and family history for both my husband and I. I then made a follow up visit that included a vaginal exam to check my cervix and also to check for an infection. I had a vaginal ultrasound to look at my uterus and my ovaries to make sure I did not have any cysts, etc. ALOT of bloodwork. They are going to check for all STDS, as well as your hormone levels. They will also as for a sample from your husband/boyfriend. Depending on the answers to the tests, your treatment can go in many different directions. Good Luck!!

If those are the only issues, then you definately fairly have a competent risk of changing them. maximum women individuals get anovulatory cycles now and lower back -- this is only that except you're charting, you may by no skill be attentive to! they are going to have checked your FSH and Estradiol stages, and in the adventure that your ovulations want a improve, there are a number of nicely-examined drugs that could help (as quickly as I say nicely-examined, I advise people who have been conceived making use of those meds at the instant are having young babies themselves, so this is been an prolonged time!) additionally you have further progesterone prescribed after ovulation which you're taking in the process the 1st 12 weeks of being pregnant, if certainly your CD21 try shows low progesterone. sturdy success with the outcomes!!!

Hi when i went to my first fertility appointment I was asked questions on my periods .
How old i was when i started them ,how long they lasted, how long between them how heavy they were
I was asked if I had kids or had been pregnant before
My partner was asked if he'd had any kids previously
I had blood sample results from when I been to my regular gp he had refered me to the specialist.
He then booked me for a scan this was to confirm the results from the blood test.
mine showed i had pcos but they need to give you a scan to see how many cysts there actually was.
they also discuss what the possible treatment they will do depending on your particullar problem
Your partner will also be asked to do a sperm sample to check his fertillity as if he has a problem they need to sort this out as well .
hope this helps good luck

My first appointment was a consultation. The doctor asked about basic things like menstration, sex, history of pregnancy, etc. Then she explained the options and the tests that my particular insurance required. She gave me a folder of information to look over with every step in detail.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/bUKsv
