Up's your coordination & no dude, a poi is a flax made ball with a length of string/cord attached to it, not a meal.

Well actually yes.That is the hawaiian dancing tools.They use it to dance and all that.I actually dance with poi balls myself.I am not hawaiian though.Pacific islanders have different ways to dance.Hawaiians use poi balls and the fire sticcs.Tahitians use their hips and all that shaking to do.Tongans use their head,hands,and body.Sorry if you dont what these people are but just letting you know the different islands.It is fun to dance with hawaiians,tahitians,tongans,and other islanders.Give it a try one time.

The poi I know is a Hawaiian food and I am not sure how it is used in ...dancing.
