7-6, 6-4, 6-4. Gonzalez played a great first set, but went downhill from there. I was going for Gonzalez just to see the reaction.

You have to admire the way Gonzales took the game to Roger. He is a great player with a big future. But being the champ he is Roger got his measure and took control from there. There was some brilliant tennis played by them tonight but in the end he still took it in 3. He is just too good. He dug deep to take that first set from Gonzales and I think Gonzales sort of burnt himself out in the first set. Too much too early. Only Roger could have beaten him in that set.

Lol. True that, but Federer is really good and Gonzalez played really well too. I guess it comes to experience but I didn't know who I really wanted to win that match. I'm sad the Aus Open is over though, all the players competed well. I hope to see Gonzalez again. :)

Federer won - And wasn't it great?
What's new - He didn't cry when he got the trophy.
Federer is the king. He doesn't let outside influences influence his playing unlike Lleyton. I knew who i wanted to win but i wasn't sure who would considering i haven't seen Gonzalez play a game. ; )

Well...It was a great match...Both Played TENNIS...not like Sharapova in the finals...:)
