I've read the other posts and I have to disagree. It is not normal for a teacher to be going out drinking and smoking pot. If you ever get a suprise drug test you will probably loose your teaching license, and never be allowed to teach again. In all honesty, if you were my sons teacher, I damn sure wouldnt want you teaching my kids.. I'm not against smoking pot, I've smoked it before but havnt in a very long time. I actually think it should be legalized. But being a educator of our students, our children, no you shouldnt be partying and smoking pot..

i think it is OK as long as you are taking care of your priority's first. there is nothing wrong with winding down a little after a long hard day. my grandpa still smokes pot and he is in a band so he parties to but he takes care of what matters the most first. my grandpa is 66 so there is no normal age to stop smoking.

Well, it is if you are a pot head lol. Listen it is normal with some people no matter what the proffession. that being said, watch your step. Your in a position of authority around kids and i do think it is important to set a good example. If you do anything illegal, then bad example to kids. hide that part of your life or quit teaching.

NO!!!!! Pot is the WORST thing you can do to your body. you can still party and not smoke pot. drink some alcholal, laugh, but DONT give into pot!! if you keep smoking it, you will never want to stop!!! trust, me! i know! so, if you want to stay around on earth for longer than STOP!!!!!!!!(by the way there is no normal age. once people realize that pot kills, they stop )

It's normal, but not adviseable past the age of 18. If you get popped for it as an adult(which in your job is distinctly possible), you'll be one sorry S.O.B. You'll not only lose your job(and be labelled a drug user), but you'll also be prevented from using your education and earned skills to educate young minds in our country again. Your only recourse would be to move to a foreign country and hope they didn't do too much research into why you're looking for a job in Malaysia instead of San Francisco!

Maybe it is common for a 29 year old to do it, but it is totally unacceptable for a school teacher to be doing it. That person should be setting an example and will lose their job if ever drug screened.

there is nothing wrong with smoking. have you ever herd of someone dying from smoking weed. its not wrong to go out and have fun. and dealing with school kids all day you may need to go home and smoke to relax, and the only people who dis smoking is the ppeople who drink. I know a lot of people who are nurses and office assistants who smoke and their fine.

Sure. I know 60-year-olds who still party all the time. They prefer it to booze.
