Like a good friend?

Like maybe you just realized - hey... I don't like anything you stand for! (or maybe they thought that about you)

No, but I lost a husband whom I thought I was friends with. 17 years and he couldn't stop being conservative. Lot deeper than that, but it's pretty well the crux of the matter.

Military..half German... I thought I could change him.

On the other hand, he thought he could change me :)

I've always had good relationships with people I disagree with politically. The key is that it doesn't have to be personal, show them respect and don't belittle them for their ideas.

Never. We don't discuss our politics, nor do we try to change each other.

It's all about team effort. working together, getting the mission done.
