Most people try to get 7-8 hours a night, but I prefer to have 9 or 10. I just feel more rested.

Well everyone says 8 hours, but they are wrong. It all depends on how much your body needs. Some people can get by on 6 hours while other people need 10 hours to function. The average is 8.

In general 8 - 10 hrs.
However some of us need to sleep longer (9 -11 hours) to feel well, while others can sleep much less (5-6 hours) without experiencing negative effects.
