I just know from experience that the way you carry a bag tells whether it is heavy or not. Seriously though, I think if you carry a bag over your shoulder and keep your head held high you are more likely to be an extrovert. If you carry your bag close to your body and clutch it madly you are either scared stiff or an introvert.

Well I nearly always have a rucksack that I wear with both straps on my shoulders. At school this was geeky. It was only cool to carry it with one so people did notice and judge you on that (such a small thing!). However I carry it on two because I'm worried about a bad back as my grandpa used to be part of the backpain association. That's why I do it but I guess I'm probably geeky too but an extrovert with it which means I don't care what people think of the way I wear it!

I don't think so. I have quite a trusting personality and I would consider myself as an extrovert, but the way I clutch my bag to me, it is as if it contains the crown jewels. Especially when I am in the market. I would hate to lose my driving licence, credit cards etc. Better to be safe than sorry I say.

No, body language should be banned from Psychology. That study with the bag seemed to forget that people hold their bag to compensate for how heavy the contents are, the health of their arms/hands, the weather, the clothes they wear... It's all a load of rubbish!

Every move a person makes reflects who they areas well as the mood they are currently in. The style of clothes, bag and the way they walk contribute to this too.

i would say that the way a person carries themself would show a lot more personality than how they carry a bag.
